An FFS (Form-Fill-Seal) packing machine—specifically a Vertical Form-Fill-Seal (VFFS) machine—is an automated packaging system that forms a pouch from a continuous roll of flexible film, fills it with liquid, powder, or granular products, and seals it in a single continuous vertical operation.

Film Roll Mandrel & Tension Assembly: Located at the top, it holds the printed packaging film roll and maintains precise tension via guide rollers as film feeds downward.

Former Shoulder & Collar: Shapes the flat, flexible film into a continuous vertical tube as it pulls through the forming assembly.

Vertical Sealing Jaw: Heats and bonds the overlapping long edges of the film tube to form a vertical back seal (center seal / fin seal).

Horizontal Sealing & Cutting Jaws: Pneumatically or mechanically driven jaws seal the bottom of the pouch, wait for the product dose to drop, seal the top, and cut the finished pouch free.

Dosing / Filling System (Top Mounted): Connects to a volumetric cup filler, liquid pump, or auger filler to discharge precise quantities into each formed bag.

Control Panel & Temperature Controllers: Houses digital PID temperature controllers, power switches, and emergency stops to regulate jaw heat and pouch speed.

Stainless Steel Frame (SS304): Compact, corrosion-resistant housing mounted on swivel castor wheels for easy mobility.

Form: Flat film is pulled down over the forming collar, wrapping into a hollow cylinder. The vertical sealing bar bonds the seam.

Fill: The horizontal bottom jaw closes to seal the base of the bag. A measured dose of liquid or dry product drops from the top dosing unit through the forming tube into the pouch.

Seal & Cut: The horizontal top jaws clamp together to seal the top of the filled bag while simultaneously sealing the bottom of the next pouch. A cutter blade separates the completed pouch to drop into a collection bin or outlet chute.
